For more than 30 years, I have performed and acted in numerous productions, including plays, musicals, street theater/ teatro, experimental theater, radio theater, spoken word-musical collaborations, including recording poetry and stories on albums with award winning musical acts, and I’ve written and performed in my own one-man shows. I co-founded spoken word bands, the Central Chakra Project, and Brown Lotus, both of which recorded albums and toured across the Southwest in the early 2000’s. From 1996-1998, I studied street theater and experimental poetry performance with Juan Felipe Herrera and Margarita Luna Robles, and I’ve taken workshops with Commedia del Arte, Guillermo Gomez Peña, and numerous other artists. From 2004-2006, my minor was Physical Theater at Naropa University, with an emphasis on Polish Lab Theater, under the tutelage of Bay Area based actor and artist, Edris Cooper. I’ve shared countless stages with performance artists, actors, musicians, and dancers such as Rennie Harris Puremovement, playwright and performer Paul S. Flores, Grammy Award Winning composer, Eugene Freisen, Latin Jazz/ Reggae group, B-Side Players, Hip-Hop group 40 Watt Hype, the San Francisco Mime Troupe, and many others.
I’m currently continuing to develop the staged production of “All They Will Call You,” which is a Documentary Performance/ One-Man show that includes musical accompaniment, video, and audio.
More information regarding upcoming projects will be posted here soon. Check back for updates.
